WBHoenig
From what I know, here are the differences:1) You may install it on one computer, and it is tied to that same computer forever.2) It has to be purchased with a hardware component. Just buy a $5 mouse and throw it away to satisfy this. Edited February 3, 2007 by WBHoenig
twig123
... also OEM (aka "For system builders")... Microsoft assumes that you know what you are doing, so if you call them for support they will try to charge you... But really people... how many time have YOU called Microsoft for a problem?!?!? None! They dont know anything anyways. However, there is no difference in the software or features them self. So, save yourself some money and get OEM
LeveL
For the first time ever, I have actually found something sold inthe UK for far cheaper than the US - Windows Vista Ultimateand no, this is not the Upgrade its the full one for what amountsto about $265 (not $400 like in the US)...............http://www.microdirect.co.uk/ProductInfo.a...0&GroupID=0WINDOWS-KEY IS DISPLAYED ON OUTER PACKAGING, PLEASE KEEP SAFEGotta love the way they just broadcast this so anyone can go in a shop andtake a picture of the serial. You know whats REALLY funny about this,I doubt it is even illegal - because you're not actually stealing anything andyou cannot (according to the "Digital Millennium Copyright Act") hold anycopyright to a random sequence of numbers and letters - this is how peoplecan sell XP keys and get away with it.Where theres a will theres a way. The only way to access the COA is by removing the cardboard sleeve and by doing so they are no longer allowed to sell this item. There is no legal way to purchase a new copy of Vista which someone else (outside of MS) could have seen the COA.
