the_guy
Hey guys,I'm having a bit of a problem. I have my computer in S3 power-saving state (just changed it 15 mins. ago) and my CPU fan won't turn off. No matter what I read, S1 keeps the fan going and S3 turns it off. Even is S3, my CPU fan remains fully spinning. I first encountered the problem when I (unknowingly) had a bad stick of RAM, and I let someone fix it. They updated the BIOS and changed the fan. I am currently at a loss.Specs:Intel D845HV motherboard Intel P4 1.5Ghz processor640 MB RAMnVidia Geforce 4000 video cardWindows XP Pro SP2Does anyone know how to fix this?the_guy

LLXX
I don't find that a problem, maybe the CPU is still hot?
the_guy
I'll check the CPU fan plug today to see if it's plugged into the correct spot, and yes, it is a three-plug fan.If that doesn't work, I'll be checking the temperature of the CPU.the_guy
