hiwaytravel
Hi, I am so hoping someone can help me. I dont know what i clicked on or changed by accident, but every time I open a new MS word document, the cursor goes ALL the way to the top of the page to start typing. Even though all my margins are set to 1" all the way around....what did i do wrong? Thanks so much!

(view --> print layout). this is the only view that shows the margins (white space) all round the page

IcemanND
what view are you looking at? Under view menu: Normal, Web Layout, Print Layout, Reading Layout, or Outline? If you want to see the margins on screen you should be in Print Layout view mode.

spacesurfer
Actually, you're margins are fine. What I think you've done is you've hidden the white space between the pages. See the attached image. What you have to do to get that white space is click in the small gray area below the ruler and right above the page. You'll see a prompt that says either "Hide White Space" or "Show White Space". Click and you're done.
