hello, thanks for the release but this one seems more buggy then any other release, is there an ETA on the next release yet? whilst I do understand that the work you do is volentry and takes up alot of time, especially as your doing vlite aswell, there are so manyy issues in this and te last few releases, and i really need to do a reinstall.

thanks

No, more like slapping the hand of a 5 year old (sometimes they get the attention they desire and it isn't always a good thing). Seriously, bumping a sticky? C'mon man, you gotta know better than that.

....slaps hand.

Thanks for a very nice tool :)

I have some suggestions, which I usually change in my installations:

1. Registry setting: FilterFilesWithUnknownExtensions

If set to 1 instead of default 0, you can search for contents in all files, not only registrered .txt-files.

FilterFilesWithUnknownExtensions DWORD value to 1 in the following registry key:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\ContentIndex

See this page for the details (Method 2):

http://support.microsoft.com/kb/309173/en-us

2. Command Prompt Properties:

Be able to change: Windows Size (width and height) and be able to change screen buffer size (height)

Quick Edit mode checked

3. DTC (registry):

Allow Network DTC

TurnOffRPCSecurity

RPC port range

See these pages for details on the settings:

http://msdn.microsoft.com/library/default....0676ec97786.asp

http://support.microsoft.com/kb/154596/en-us

Thx

Okay, let's all stop the hate here.

While it might be a bit odd to bump a sticky thread, the original question was a fair one to ask - especially since he mentioned that he understands the voluntary/free nature of nLite.

In fact, I have been wondering myself when v1.3 will be out (especially since the RC2 news said the final version "should not take long", which was about a month ago ;) )...

Anyone have any ideas on this issue? I get the same error.

I'm getting some errors in my setuperr.txt

My session.ini is attached

I also get the same errors in win xp pro 32bit.

Warning:

Setup was unable to start service Spooler because of the following error:

StartService(Spooler) returned error 3 (3).

***

Error:

An error occurred during the final phase of Setup.

***

Anyone have an idea what it is? I never got it with nlite 1.2.1

1. Registry setting: FilterFilesWithUnknownExtensions

FilterFilesWithUnknownExtensions DWORD value to 1 in the following registry key:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\ContentIndex

Doesn't that key only work if you have the *shudder* Indexing Service enabled? That MS page seems to say that to get it to search files other than .txt without the Indexing Service, you have to add a PersistentHandler to each filetype you want searched.
