Sgt_Strider Posted December 19, 2006 Posted December 19, 2006 Are any of you guys using HFSlip for unattended install? I find it odd that the program say $OEM$ folders aren't necessary. Why is that the case? I used it and everything installed unattended.
Kiki Burgh Posted December 19, 2006 Posted December 19, 2006 hi Sgt_Strider! yup you can use HFSLIP for unattended install ... you may need to define it via winnt.sif ... as for $OEM$ directory, HFEXPERT feature can address it

Super-Magician Posted December 20, 2006 Posted December 20, 2006 The purpose of the $OEM$ folder is to add files into the WINDOWS directory and any subdirectories. HFEXPERT takes care of this by providing support for it as well as allowing you to place files in Program Files. Documents and Settings is not yet supported, but probably will in the near future.Read more about it here: http://www.hfslip.org/advanced.html#a3
Oleg_II Posted December 25, 2006 Posted December 25, 2006 I'm using HFSLIP for Unattended with WINNT.SIF. Still using OEM folder structure for some drivers (have a few notebooks here).Theoretically it should be possible to make an Unattended without WINNT.SIF (at least most settings).
