Ralish
Greetings,My younger brother got a very nice Dell laptop for his birthday (lucky bastard!), and it came with Windows XP Media Center Edition 2005, along with the associated license and cd-key. The laptop also came with a copy of the installation media, but unfortunately, not original. A quick look at the installation media shows a massive amount of modifications to it, doing god knows what.I intend to put a clean installation of Windows XP on the system to erase the massive amount of crap that has come pre-installed on it, and was intending to use the included Media Center Edition 2005 copy. However, I want a "virgin" copy of it without any tampering. As such, I am downloading the original two MSDN ISO's for Windows XP Media Center Edition 2005. The problem, is that I am betting the CD-Keys differ between the MSDN and OEM editions. As such, I want to convert the MSDN copy to an OEM copy so I can use the legal CD-key included with the laptop. Can anyone provide details as to how I might go about doing this? I am new in this area, and don't wish to install a copy of Windows that has had countless settings tampered with, but a clean copy, and this looks like the best method to do so.Thanks in advance,Ralish
