WildOptic Posted December 8, 2006 Share Posted December 8, 2006 I wish to uninstall and reinstall my wireless networking driver. However, this is to remove "#2" from the end of the device listing as its the only one installed. I have force this once before and have search for the past hour (prob. wrong search terms) with no luck finding a guide to this. Does anyone know how to force windows to stop labeling the reinstalled device as "# 2,3,4, etc..."? Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

neo Posted December 8, 2006 Share Posted December 8, 2006 Select Ur Device in Device Manger and try to update Ur Device Driver(Update Driver...)Ignore Recommend option and select Advcaned and poceed nextin next page select Don't Search option and click next now click on have disk button and give path X:\WINDOWS\inf. n then try to search.It might be help for U.
