Spooky
Your still using one of the non-RTM versions aren't you. And...your using the Aero theme? Some one in the forum gave information for removing the watermark via some file changes/edits, maybe not what you want though. As you found out, those reg entries don't work for what you want to do.I to remover text version on desktop,I try this reg but is doesn't work[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Control Panel\Desktop]"PaintDesktopVersion"=dword:00000000[HKEY_CURRENT_CONFIG\System\CurrentControlSet\SERVICES\TSDDD\DEVICE0]"Attach.ToDesktop"=dword:00000000 Edited November 28, 2006 by Spooky
RYU81
no,I'm using RTM version and I find way to removed.1. Getting full-control permission of the file"user32.dll.mui"2. Rename the file:x:\Windows\System32\en-US\user32.dll.mui to "user32.dll.bak"3. Copy the attached file user32.dll.mui to x:\Windows\System32\en-US\4. dAbReAkA
unless you "crack" it.... i've heard about this happening when people replace some files so they get the activation from the RC-branch builds..

Spooky
Hmmm...OK...but in case you didn't know....the RTM version doesn't have a watermark or the text your trying to remove. So...if for some reason you are seeing this text then something is really messed up with your install or you already hacked some files and made some type of text appear. Hmmm...cracked?no,I'm using RTM version and I find way to removed.1. Getting full-control permission of the file"user32.dll.mui"2. RebootCircumventing the non-existant desktop text in an RTM version is really iffy Isn't circumventing the Desktop Text of the evaluation version a bit... I dunno... Iffy??
