tachyon2u
In my town the cable recievers have a DVI or HDMI output. Since I have no use for a built in tuner, I was thinking about using an LCD monitor hooked up to the cable box. I'm curious if anyone on here has tried this. The one thing I'm not sure about is how the monitor will react to the different resolutions since most flat panel LCDs have different native resolutions then what a cable box would put out. I've never owned an LCD before so I don't know how they work with resolutions other then native.
uvmain
any non-native resolution will look like mud on an LCD!CRT or maybe plasma would be your best bet..unless you have an LCD that's 1920x1080 ;Pgood luck!
LLXX
any non-native resolution will look like mud on an LCD!Should be fine for viewing television though, as images from a camera are naturally blurry and the scaling done by the LCD won't do much to them.
