The projected performance of Intel's80-core prototypes at the time it could become available is expected to hit one teraflop. At this point it's also interesting to note the floating point performance of a Pentium 4 processor: A 3 GHz model reaches 0.006 teraflops, which underlines the impressive capabilities of the 80-core prototype. We have to add that floating point performance is more important for scientific applications and number crunching than it is for desktop applications, but it might enable geologists to analyze drill test samples on their way home instead of processing it in expensive server farms.The teraflop prototypes are large and rather sophisticated, but they host 80 FPU processing units on a single die. ULi doesn't complete the driver for southbridge M1573, so there is no driver for M5287 SATA controller under Win98SE.You can just install the WinXP(i386) M5287 driver manually from ULi Integrated 220, and the yellow question mark should disappear. (Anyway, M5287 SATA controller will not work )PATA controller should be supported by Win98SE and identified as "ALi M5229 PCI Bus Master IDE controller". But I am not sure if there is any problem with DVD burner and the board. Latest Realtek AC'97 driver may not support ALC880. Put a dedicaded sound card in and disable the integrated soundchip and you're good.You shouldn't have any problems with the DVD burners really. Optical drives can't make to run.Under XP it work great.I can't see it under 98SE explorer but when boot system in DOS from bootable CD it work normally.Does somebody know why? Besides, the compatibility of ULi M1573 under Win98SE is another unstable factor.So I guess that is the reason why the DVD burner doesn't work under Win98SE. U can see that there isn't optical devices.What I need to do?Does anybody know?I would like to have 98se on this PC!!!You have to solve the IDE controller problem first.It is weird that M5229 IDE controller does not work properly.If you need the driver, you can find it from Win98se install CD.Motherboard resources also conflicts, you should assign it manually to avoid the problem.
