look in C:\Program Files\Driver-Soft\DriverGenius for a file called Register.key

this is not a registry file this is the licence file it makes when registered you must copy this to

C:\Program Files\Driver-Soft\DriverGenius

when installing driver genius if you want it registered

here is what i have in runonce addapt to suit your own needs

REG ADD %KEY%\1001 /VE /D "Driver Genius Professional 2006 6.1.2518" /f
REG ADD %KEY%\1001 /V 101 /D "C:\APPS\DriverGeniusPro\DrvgenPro.EXE /SILENT /SP- /NORESTART" /f
REG ADD %KEY%\1001 /V 102 /D "CMD /C COPY \"C:\APPS\DriverGeniusPro\Register.key\" \"%ProgramFiles%\Driver-Soft\DriverGenius\" /Y" /f
REG ADD %KEY%\1001 /V 103 /D "CMD /C COPY \"C:\APPS\DriverGeniusPro\Drivers.dat\" \"%ProgramFiles%\Driver-Soft\DriverGenius\" /Y" /f

P.S. i copy Drivers.dat file also so it is up to date

Friends,

I didn't still get to find the command of Drver Genius REG.

Please help me.

A little bit more info would be helpful than just repeating the same statement.

Have you registered the program?, what version are you using?. Here is as simple as I can make it.

1. Install the program normally or with the /verysilent switch.

2. Run the program.

3. Wait for the register screen to pop up.

4. Click the register now button and add your information.

5. After successful registration a file will be created called Register.key in the programs directory, this is were your registration details are stored, save this key for future use and use urie's suggestion or your own to copy it to the install directory after a fresh installation.

This works for me with Driver Genius 2006 v6.1.2518.

All the program exist a REG that resembles this example:

Jorex,

You are the one who don't understand. Not all programs get registered like that.

ricktendo64 showed you how DriverGenius get registered. It is a key file in the same directory of DriverGenius. Don't search your registry for that key, you won't find it.

When you run DriverGenius, the program search for that file and read the contents and the program know if it is registered or not.

Do you need more help ?
