Daedlus
Has anyone managed to add additional drivers to their DVD? I am trying to add RAID drivers without having to have an additional media. I am assuming that I just dont know how to tell it to look on the DVD. Here is my Autounattend.xml:<?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8"?><unattend xmlns="urn:schemas-microsoft-com:unattend"> <settings pass="offlineServicing"> <component name="Microsoft-Windows-PnpCustomizationsNonWinPE" processorArchitecture="x86" publicKeyToken="31bf3856ad364e35" language="neutral" versionScope="nonSxS" xmlns:wcm="http://schemas.microsoft.com/WMIConfig/2002/State" xmlns:xsi="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema-instance"> <DriverPaths> <PathAndCredentials wcm:action="add" wcm:keyValue="004"> <Path>%CDROM%\$OEM$\$1\Drivers\004_RAID\1</Path> </PathAndCredentials> </DriverPaths> </component> </settings> <settings pass="auditSystem"> <component name="Microsoft-Windows-PnpCustomizationsNonWinPE" processorArchitecture="x86" publicKeyToken="31bf3856ad364e35" language="neutral" versionScope="nonSxS" xmlns:wcm="http://schemas.microsoft.com/WMIConfig/2002/State" xmlns:xsi="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema-instance"> <DriverPaths> <PathAndCredentials wcm:action="add" wcm:keyValue="004"> <Path>%CDROM%\$OEM$\$1\Drivers\004_RAID\1</Path> </PathAndCredentials> </DriverPaths> </component> </settings> <settings pass="windowsPE"> <component name="Microsoft-Windows-PnpCustomizationsWinPE" processorArchitecture="x86" publicKeyToken="31bf3856ad364e35" language="neutral" versionScope="nonSxS" xmlns:wcm="http://schemas.microsoft.com/WMIConfig/2002/State" xmlns:xsi="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema-instance"> <DriverPaths> <PathAndCredentials wcm:action="add" wcm:keyValue="004"> <Path>%CDROM%\$OEM$\$1\Drivers\004_RAID\1</Path> </PathAndCredentials> </DriverPaths> </component> <component name="Microsoft-Windows-Setup" processorArchitecture="x86" publicKeyToken="31bf3856ad364e35" language="neutral" versionScope="nonSxS" xmlns:wcm="http://schemas.microsoft.com/WMIConfig/2002/State" xmlns:xsi="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema-instance"> <DiskConfiguration> <Disk wcm:action="add"> <CreatePartitions> <CreatePartition wcm:action="add"> <Order>1</Order> <Size>30000</Size> <Type>Primary</Type> </CreatePartition> </CreatePartitions> <ModifyPartitions> <ModifyPartition wcm:action="add"> <Active>true</Active> <Extend>false</Extend> <Format>NTFS</Format> <Letter>C</Letter> <Order>1</Order> <PartitionID>1</PartitionID> </ModifyPartition> </ModifyPartitions> <DiskID>0</DiskID> <WillWipeDisk>true</WillWipeDisk> </Disk> </DiskConfiguration> <ImageInstall> <OSImage> <InstallTo> <DiskID>0</DiskID> <PartitionID>1</PartitionID> </InstallTo> </OSImage> </ImageInstall> <UserData> <ProductKey> <Key>XXXXX-xxxxx-XXXXX-xxxxx-XXXXX</Key> <WillShowUI>OnError</WillShowUI> </ProductKey> <AcceptEula>true</AcceptEula> <FullName>Daedlus</FullName> <Organization>..</Organization> </UserData> </component> </settings> <settings pass="oobeSystem"> <component name="Microsoft-Windows-Shell-Setup" processorArchitecture="x86" publicKeyToken="31bf3856ad364e35" language="neutral" versionScope="nonSxS" xmlns:wcm="http://schemas.microsoft.com/WMIConfig/2002/State" xmlns:xsi="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema-instance"> <OOBE> <HideEULAPage>true</HideEULAPage> <NetworkLocation>Home</NetworkLocation> <ProtectYourPC>3</ProtectYourPC> <SkipMachineOOBE>true</SkipMachineOOBE> <SkipUserOOBE>false</SkipUserOOBE> </OOBE> </component> </settings> <cpi:offlineImage cpi:source="wim://omega/dvista/sources/install.wim#Windows Vista ULTIMATE" xmlns:cpi="urn:schemas-microsoft-com:cpi" /></unattend>I have attached the error Im getting... fizban2
the %cd-rom% variable does not work with the unattend file, your best bet would be to inject the drivers into the WIM file itself, or use a configuration set

Daedlus
From my experience the CD Rom/DVD Rom that windows installs from is always D:\, so theoretically you would just tell it to look in D:\$oem$\$1\Drivers or where ever you want
maxXPsoft
simplest answer is $OEM$ are not copied untill much later on than PE unless you use a synchronous command to do that and it getting done before the PE pass.Daedlus said part of the answer cause thats what i have been doing for quite awhileIts not allway's D: Btw, depends how many partitions you have where the Dvd will be.<Path>F:\sources\pnpDrivers\2</Path> you must give it exact location and work's like a charm
Daedlus
Well I have 1 HDD with 2 partitions, and it makes one C:\ and the other E:\ with my DVD being D:\.If I use my thumb drive it makes the thumb drive C:\, my DVD D:\, and my HDD partitions E:\ and F:\But like I said this is my experience.
