WildKat
try dabs.com and i recommend the samsung sw252, most 52x burners are very similar as the technology is fully matured
R600
I'd go for a Lite-On or Plextor CD writer. The write speed can be a factor to decide on, but I reckon only 40% of all users will reach their max write speed because they don't usually write 650/700mb on to a cd in one go. XPerties
Lite-On has won more awards for performance than any other cdrw. Plextors are nice but Lite-On are by far much cheaper.
darph
when you have a SCSI controller buy a Plextore Writer with SCSI interface they are really good and burn all i never had a problem with my Plextore or you buy a Teac burner they good too. The problem of this burner is the price both of them are very expensive.so longdarph

R600
Nice to see that there are Lite-On supporters in here. All my CD/dvd drives are Lite-On, with the exception of this half-price Philips DVD+RW i got last yr.
