grrl
I just made a new Win2K disk with nLite 1.2RC. After installing the OS I couldn't access any of the partitions through Explorer or Novatix ExplorerPlus. The My Computer icon was missing in Explorer and clicking any of the drive icons in ExplorerPlus did nothing. My INI file:[Main]Env = 1.2 RC - 2.0.50727.42.Microsoft Windows NT 5.0.2195 Service Pack 4Target = Windows 2000 Professional SP:4 - 6717 - English (United States)[Tasks]Service Pack IntegrationRemove ComponentsUnattended SetupIntegrate DriversHotfixes and Update PacksTweaks[Components];# Applications #Accessibility OptionsBriefcaseCharmapClipBook ViewerGamesNT BackupPaintPinballScreensaversWordpad;# Drivers #Cameras and CamcordersDisplay AdaptersDisplay Adapters (old)Ethernet (LAN)IBM PS/2 TrackPointIBM ThinkpadISDNLogitech WingManMicrosoft SideWinderModemsMultiFunctionalPrintersScannersSound ControllersTape drivesToshiba DVD decoder cardWireless Ethernet (WLAN);# Hardware Support #AGP filtersBatteryInfraRedIntel PCI IDE ControllerJoystick SupportMulti-port serial adaptersPCMCIASmart Cards;# Multimedia #DirectX diagnostic toolImages and BackgroundsIntel Indeo codecsMIDI audio supportOld CDPlayer and Sound RecorderSpeech SupportWindows Media PlayerWindows Picture and Fax ViewerWindows Sounds;# Network #Client for Netware NetworksCommunication toolsConnection ManagerFrontPage ExtensionsInternet Information Services (IIS)Java Virtual MachineMap Network Drives/Network Places WizardNetmeetingNetShell Cmd-ToolOutlook ExpressSynchronization ManagerWeb Folders;# Operating System Options #Color SchemesCommand-Line toolsDisk and Profile QuotaDisk CleanupDocument TemplatesExtensible Storage Engine (Esent97)Format drive supportHelp and SupportManual Install and UpgradeMS AgentOS2 SubsystemPosix SubsystemRemote Installation Services (RIS)Save Dump UtilityTourVisual Basic Scripting supportWeb View;# Services #AlerterAutomatic UpdatesDistributed Link Tracking ClientIndexing ServiceInternet Authentication (IAS)IPSEC Policy AgentMessage Queuing (MSMQ)MessengerPerformance Logs and AlertsQoS RSVPQuality of Service (QoS)Remote RegistryRemovable StorageSecondary LogonService Advertising ProtocolSNMPTask SchedulerTCP/IP NetBIOS HelperTelnetUninterruptible Power Supply;# Compatibility #[KeepFiles]msconfig.exe[RemoveFiles]clock.avi[Options]ProfilesDir = "%SystemDrive%\Documents and Settings"TargetPath = "WINNT"temp_dir = %USERPROFILE%\Local Settings\TempAdvTweaks[Patches]TcpIp = 10UsbPoll = 125[services2][Tweaks]Boot and Shutdown-Status Messages-ExtendedDesktop-Internet Explorer icon-HideDesktop-My Documents icon-HideDesktop-My Network Places icon-HideDesktop-Show Windows version on DesktopExplorer-Disable Beep on errorsExplorer-Disable Prefix: Shortcut toExplorer-Disable Windows keysExplorer-Recycle Bin: allow to rename and deleteExplorer-Restore previous folder windows at logon-DisabledExplorer-Show extensions of known file-typesInternet Explorer-Disable Internet Explorer link creationInternet Explorer-Keep IE URL-History for-0 DaysInternet Explorer-Set Homepage-www.google.comMy Computer-Add Administrative ToolsMy Computer-Add Control PanelMy Computer-Add Device Manager to Context MenuMy Computer-Add Services to Context MenuMy Computer-Show details in Device ManagerMy Computer-Show non-present devices in Device ManagerPerformance-Run 16-bit Windows applications in a separate processPrivacy-Remove AlexaSecurity-Disable Windows Script Host (WSH)Start Menu-Add Administrative Tools menuStart Menu-Clear most recently opened documents list on logoffStart Menu-Control Panel-Display as a menuStart Menu-Disable and Remove Documents List from Start MenuStart Menu-Do not use Personalized MenusStart Menu-My Documents-Don't display this itemTaskbar-Hide Volume Control Icon in System Tray[unattended]DisableOemComputerType = AutomaticAutoLogon = AdministratorCustomLocalesMaximumDataStorePercentOfDisk = 12RestorePointLife = 30DesktopTheme = Default||AutoUpdates = 4AutoUDay = 5AutoUHour = 15ProgFilesPath = "\Program Files"
babudeoha
Same problem here. Some things never get outdated. Edited January 6, 2009 by babudeoha
iamtheky
if you right click on your desktop and go to properties, desktop tab, and click 'customize desktop...' Do you have the My Computer options (place on desktop/change icon)?
johnhc
grrl, this does not look like any Last Session.ini I have seen. What version nLite are you running? If not 1.4.9.1, then DL it and rerun your build and attach (not paste) your Last Session.ini. Make sure you always start with a fresh copy of your CD files/folders, do all your work in one nLite session and integrate only one SP. Enjoy, John.
