Microsoft Windows Live Mail 2008 v14.0.5027.908

Windows Live Mail is Microsoft's next-generation e-mail program. It includes the familiar features of Outlook Express and more. Use it to get multiple e-mail accounts in one place, and seamlessly access other Windows Live stuff like Spaces and Messenger.

  • Protected
    • Get spam and virus filters across multiple e-mail accounts, and warnings when it looks like an e-mail message could be a scam. And you can just click "Delete and block" to drop the hammer of security on any shady e-mail that appears in your inbox.

    [*]Familiar

    • Do you know Microsoft Outlook Express or Windows Mail? Then you pretty much already know how to use Windows Live Mail. The clean design speeds you through the most common tasks, and lets you do some pretty uncommon ones, too—like sending eye-catching photo e-mail, and setting up the layout just the way you want it.

    [*]Unified

    • Get multiple e-mail accounts in one place—not only Hotmail, but Gmail, Yahoo!*, and many more. Plus, you can start a Windows Live Messenger conversation right from your inbox, or jump right into the latest updates from your friends' Windows Live Spaces blogs.

Informal kinda changelog:

With this build, you're not going to see a lot of large feature changes. What you will see, however, is even better - which is, simply put, an improved overall experience while using the product.

We've spent the majority of the time since the last refresh focusing on making WLMd more stable and reliable. These are the types of changes that our customers may not notice right off the bat. But, weeks from now you'll be sitting at your desk (using WLMd, of course) and it will suddenly hit you -

"WOW!", you'll say to yourself, "This build is WAY better than the last! In fact, this one runs more smoothly than any build they've ever released!"

With this latest refresh you'll see a shortened first run experience, better integration between Windows Live Messenger and WLMd, updates to our interaction with the Search Box, and hundreds of other fixed issues across all of our features…

I also wanted to point out a new option under our Help menu in case you didn't see it there last time. As you may have noticed, you can now migrate your Windows Mail data on Vista to WLMd. Give this a try, and let us know how it works for you. If you have any trouble, please use the "Migration Failure" option under the Help menu.
