Delprat
Only videos that really require Windows Media are videos in Windows Media Video format (same goes for sounds : WM Audio). If you do the correct file associations with <insert here the name of your favorite player>, you shouldn't need WMP, except for streaming maybe ?++
TheTOM_SK
I was trying to find out this for months, but so far I have no clue how to do it.Online TVs need WMP, although I would rather use VideoLAN along with MPC. Camarade_Tux
Completely remove WMP, use MPC + WMLite + QTLite + RealLite.See http://ksphere.free.fr/site/codecspackage.phpAnd this to configure MPC correctly (mainly for QT and Real)I've upped the corresponding topic. Forgot to say that you have to keep 'ActiveX for Streaming video" in nlite if you want to watch streaming *inside* IE.

sonnet
All versions can be used with nlite and I see no dead link. :? Could you be a bit more specific ?What I download from the link are .exe files, notr cab.If I click on the right side of every row, there are for every package link to repidshare.de hosted file (and I suppose this are the .cab usable for nlite),but these files are all expired.
