joan_toko
Hello, My laptop fall down and it seems that some of its jack were broke down. I cannot afford buying a new laptop, is there a possibility of replacing just the hitted parts?
michael_25cm
There's no need to buy a new one, you can buy only DC power jack. I hope only the jacks broke down and not any inside electronics!
ripken204
you need to tell us what jacks broke. and how do you know what broke? did a technician tell you that it was broke for sure? can it power on at all?
LLXX
My laptop has a loose power connector. I should open it up and solder it back in place sometime...I didn't know there would be a whole site for the sale of these things If just the connectors were broken (or more likely, just dislodged from the mobo) it's an easy repair. Buy some cheap kit and assemble it to learn.Another skill you need to practice (again not on your laptop) is de-soldering... Very critical to get the bad parts out of the way. LLXX
Only the power jack it seems... but most of the other connectors e.g. VGA out etc. are standard types you can find in other electronic component stores.
michael_25cm
If more than just the DC power jack were hitted you may consider taking it to a lab.
