evils
Here is the way to unattended install Norton Antivirus 2004 Simply create a batch file in the root directory of the install program with NAVSETUP.exe /QB on it
pmcx9
Today I uninstalled NAV2004 from a PC that was stalling at boot up to troubleshoot if NAV was the root of the problem. Turns out it was Norton Personal Firewall. However when I reinstalled Nav2004 I did not have to go through the nasty activation procedure meaning that if the correct registry keys were imported via a regtweak before auto installing NAV2004 then it would silently install just as Nav2003 did!Needs someone cleverer than me to work out the keys though!probably hklm\software\symantec would be a good startand possibly the folder c:\documents and settings\all users\application data\symantec would need to copied over. The only doubt I have about this is that Symantecs product activation may be like Microsofts and be hardware dependant meaning it reinstalls fine on the same pc but not another.
