net_user Posted October 2, 2006 Share Posted October 2, 2006 i was looking at the perfmon utility in windows....and i don't think it has what i am looking for...(unless i missed it)basically....i want to see the % of read/wrights to a filesay...bytes/sec or mb/secany clues? jftuga Posted October 3, 2006 Share Posted October 3, 2006 Perfmon may do what you want if the same process name is reading/writing to your file. On perfmon, choose Add, then from the dropdown box, choose Process (performance object). From there, choose IO Data bytes/sec (counter). Also, choose the process name on the right side.Another way to do this is to use Filemon from www.sysinternals.com. You would have to sum up the statistics yourself, however.
