AlYum
Ppl say they're not real folders, some sort of junctions. They're not accessible even from other OS on the same computer or begin to endlessly show themselves inside themselves.

Click on the Owner tab; change your settings and get ownership of that file. Now you can edit the permission settings on the Security tab to get full access.Click the OK button to apply your changes....and
Spooky
If its a shortcut that looks like a folder its probably a symlink (also called Junctions in win2K), these are new for Vista. I posted something about them here: http://www.msfn.org/board/index.php?showto...amp;hl=JunctionAnd, if you can't take ownership in the GUI (Sometimes Vista will not let you) look in the Vista Tips & Tweaks section where I posted something about a Vista command line utility called Takeown which may help you out.running vista rc1 build 5600 ultimate edition....local admin...can't access some folders in my %userprofile%looks like it's a shortcut...i dunno...folders are...application datacookieslocal settingsstart menuect....any help would be great....
