Win2K install freezing at the end of driver installation

I've been unable to get Win2K to install with the drivers integrated. I'm setting up with drivers for an Asus A8N5X mobo (no RAID, no Asus Probe, no audio drivers), XFX GeForce vid card, Audigy and Lexmark printer. At the very end of the driver install (search for components) the install stops and eventually freezes. Once I got an error message that the ProductID was invalid, but the 6 or 7 other times I've tried it just freezes. (I think the ProductID was a fluke.)

EDIT: I just noticed in WINNT.SIF it says to not skip missing files. Could changing that be a work around?

No that wouldn't help.

Tell me is your really a ComputerType = "ACPI Multiprocessor PC" ?

Maybe it's best to leave that at Automatic for now.

Also is it ok without any driver integration?

How about trial and error to see which one is the cause...but first delete that line with the ComputerType.

I'm positive I selected Automatic but that is the way WINNT.SIF was created. In any case, I'm running an A64 X2 processor, I don't know if that negates the entry though.

It does work without driver integration. I've tried eliminating the nVidia drivers (I get a null script error when using nVidia's setup program, but the drivers seem to install fine), but that didn't work. My next plan is to eliminate each set to see which is at fault. I was hoping someone had the same problem and could tell me immediately.

Well for us to help you you should have posted the list of integrated drivers, not unattended settings.

And if there it says ACPI blabla then it's not automatic.

Try also not to use nVidia beta drivers, recently one of theirs video drivers gave me a long time not seen BSOD.

I don't know where the multi-processor line came from, but without it install worked. It froze again when I integrated the GeForce drivers from XFX. The nForce 6.86 driver pack says you must uninstall all old video drivers before installing the new ones, so I'm assuming there is a conflict during silent install.

I'll post a list of drivers tomorrow, I don't have the list on this machine.
