WINNTBBU Musical

Recommended Posts

1. Is it possible to have changing background during setup.

(Will WINNTBBU accomodate & change more than one background picture

like it changes text).

2. Why cant I copy music files by placing folder named MUSIC

containing same in $Progs directory/folder. Is there any way to integrate

music files on setup disk.

About the changing background I don't know because I use classic setup

And the music... I think that you can run music only after T-12 because of the sound drivers are installing during the setup.

I'm not too sure about the video, but I like the idea of sound only. You could have some cheesy lift music playing while XP installs.

I think a standard XP CD should have the death-march playing to point out your installing a standard build of XP.

1- So far, and by design, WINNTBBU displays a single picture as a background.

I haven't, yet, seen someone who hacked it to display more than one pic. It should be funny, of course.

However, I recall there's someone who created a slideshow to be displayed in front of WINNTBBU.

I don't have the URL nor remember his/her name. But you can search for SlideShow, if you are interested.

2- Also, long ago, I read a topic on how to play music during Windows Setup with the help of an app.

I don't have the URL nor remember the author's name.

I haven't used any of the above, however.

try to download the picture2exe software on the web. picture2exe is very easy to understand... then just create a exe of it, you can even create a screevsaver with that software too... and then just put the exe file to someplace, in my case, i put it into $OEM$\$$ folder on my cd and add this to the winnt.sif

[GuiUnattended]

DetachedProgram = "%systemroot%\bildspel.exe"
