Chozo4
If the mic is working then the sound has something to do with your sound settings. You've checked the volume control on the front of your toshiba as well? Also double-checked all the volume settings in the volume control panel? Have you tried playing an mp3 or a wave file to make sure you're not getting sound from your speakers? To Start... Which model toshiba is the one you have?...I've a toshiba Satellite (A15-S157) myself and have had no problems. charles__
Try this,go to safe mode, remove the sound card and all drivers, reboot and have windows detect the new hardware, and install the latest drivers. Have a copy of the drivers in a folder on the desktop to install. Have you checked the setting in the control panel for multimedia, go to advance in play back.
