Completed XP Setup Screens

Recommended Posts

  • 2 weeks later...

Has anyone figured out how to get rid of the "set up will complete in" or at least change the timings to reflect the fabulous MSFN unattended install?

I've got it all working well, I just don't want the other stuff on screen. :)

All I would like ideally, is a different picture and the green bar on the bottom left.

Anyone cracked it yet?

What about all the font sizes? I could have a fiddle with it if I had the time, trial and error stuff, I imagine the 400 and 700 bits change the font weight (as in normal HTML).

What about the colours?

Gray

anyone search? Anyone post in a thread that doesn't have the titile "Completed XP Setup Screens"

Font size is in winntbbu.dll

Color is in hex, and you have to edit so other file (search for it)

As is the "Setup will complete in" text. It's in sysetup.dll or something like that. maybe one of DLLs right next to winntbbu.dll

Hi, I read the topic of creating a custom WINNTBBU.DLL file

Did everything it said, workt great, but the only problem is that it runs the setup in 640 x 480 ...

Real strange, it supposed to run normal, so all I get is this:

setup-screen.jpg

And it's supposed to be something like this:

setup-screen-ok.jpg

Anyone an idea? :)

Thx in advanced!

A quick thanks to Bâshrat the Sneaky for changing to a non-animated avatar. Now I don't need to hit the "Stop" button each time, and avoid your posts!

errrrrr.... WHAT? :rolleyes::)

1. WHY would you have the stop button every time?

2. the avatar I have now is ALSO animated

3. why did'nt you just ask me to change it....

4. there actually ARE people who liked it...

1. Because hitting the STOP button stops GIFs from animating.

2. If it is, it ain't on my IE: fine by me!

3. Because I didn't want to offend you ...

4. I'm not even going there ...

I don't mind a one time animation, but I simply find looped animations distracting. I developed Web Sites in the early Internet years, and I was soooo happy when animated gifs stopped being the latest rage.

It's not a big deal, and maybe it is just me, but I did avoid your posts because of the avatar.

I need some help. Something is wrong with my image that I don't know about.  :D

it is 1024*768 and it is 256 colors, but the DLL will not accept it.

If someone is willing to take a peak at it and tell me what is wrong, or just fix it, i would be very grateful :D

attached image is just an example  :)

i had the same problem using 'ResHack'

so i tried using 'Resource Tuner' to insert the pic into the dll and all worked fine...
