net_user Posted July 24, 2006 Share Posted July 24, 2006 ok...i'm really stumped on this one....in excel, word, powerpoint....the office "Startup Task Pane" is always showing up....i uncheck the Startup Task pane in the tools\option dialog...still, when i launch the program the Startup Task Pane still shows up...here are my specs...winxp sp2 fully patchedoffice xp w/sp3i have no group policy pushing out any settings of any....also not importing any reg files for "tweakin" Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
spacesurfer Posted July 24, 2006 Share Posted July 24, 2006 It worked for me when I unchecked it from Tools|Options.Try deleting your Normal.dot and start over. Maybe your Normal.dot is corrupted.Also, in View menu, make sure Task Pane is unchecked. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
