erpdude8
Ok. I just tested dependencies. There ya have it. Will the NT4 version work though?the_guyno. even the updated grpconv.exe from NT4 MS04-037 (ver. 4.0.1381.7286) fails under Win98/ME. In fact, ALL of the updated grpconv.exe files from ALL editions of MS04-037 crash under 9xME. They just seem to hate Windows 95/98/ME OSes. go figure!anyway, the grpconv.exe files from the IE setup files for Win9xME are not vulnerable to the MS04-037 security problems.winxpi has got a point. You may want to change the webvw.dll file version number from 5.00.3900.7036 to 5.50.4134.7036. I've just tested it on my WinME computer in my bedroom and things seem to be working okay. try using that file under Win98se to see if it'll work there. It won't work under clean 98 because of some dependancies, however it may work with Kernel Update. So do you guys want me to try fixing MS06-15 for WinME?go for it.BTW Tihiy, any chance of making a WinME version of Revolutions Pack Lite? Tihiy
BTW Tihiy, any chance of making a WinME version of Revolutions Pack Lite?RPLite 5 *should* work under WinME, although it is not tested not supported.

erpdude8
And what is about this Verclsid.exe file, what is it for?Did you read everything written in Microsoft security bulletin MS06-015, winxpi?Quote from MS06-015 FAQ section:This security update introduces a new file, Verclsid.exe. Verclsid.exe is used to verify a COM object before it is instantiated by Windows Explorer.Going back to the webvw.dll discussion, does anyone know if webvw.dll build 7069 from MS05-049 will work on ME?the_guyYes, webvw.dll build 7069 seems to work under my WinME computer but again, change the version number from 5.00.3900.7069 to 5.50.4134.7069 so that ME can use it. I was intentionally too ask if verclsid.exe could be compatible with Windows 9x. Edited July 26, 2006 by winxpi
erpdude8
I was intentionally too ask if verclsid.exe could be compatible with Windows 9x.no. Verclsid.exe files from MS06-015 refuse to run under Win95/98/ME and require Win2000/XP/2003 Edited July 27, 2006 by erpdude8

It is still missing SHBindToParent in shell32.dll. Kernel Update fixes 1 dependency, but not both of them.Oh well, It should work with 98SE2ME Option 3.the_guy
