RenegadeCanuck Posted July 18, 2006 Posted July 18, 2006 When Nlite'ing a windows installation, Nlite always freezes at the finalization of the Nlite when doing the compression of CAB files. It freezes the entire OS, can't even move the mouse and i have to hit hte reset button. I've tried numerous times, dunno what hte problem is.
minigun Posted July 18, 2006 Posted July 18, 2006 how fast is your CPU?? what did you set the process priority to?? it could just be taking all the CPU power or it could be something more.. :-/

Watch the task manager %'s change to seewhat is taking up all the time. Usually recompressing to cab files (even with 1 gig memory on 1ghzmachine) takes awhile. About 15 minutes on my machine.
nuhi Posted July 18, 2006 Posted July 18, 2006 Do you overclock, what is your makecab.exe, try to restore it from original cd.
