karaktu
Basically, I have a number of OEM laptops. Each has their own OEM version of XP. If you install that version, as I'm sure many of you know, you don't have to enter a CD key and you don't have to activate your software. This is extraordinarily convenient. However, when I've tried to use Nlite to modify one of these XP install CDs, during installation it requires a CD key to proceed, and then has to be activated when Windows boots. Is there a way to avoid this and have it behave "normally?" (i.e., no CD key and no activation required.)Thanks for the help!
Ponch
Yes, some people have done that here. You have to keep a few files from the OEM CD. Do a search on OEM. Edited July 12, 2006 by Ponch
