But when i want to begin formatting the setup says it cannot format. Its not a problem with my hard disk's because i can format them with my original windows cd.I think i have this problem since Nlite 1.0Final. Anyone knows what the problem could be??thx in advance! Flyx
Is the hard drive you're using a brand new drive (never been formatted before)? I've experienced the same problem whereby windows setup claims it cannot find any hard drive after partitioning just as it looks like it's formatting and thus can't format it. However, If you take the same hard drive, which has never been formatted before and format it first by some other means (and even deleting all partitions afterwards)... it will work.Do't have a soultion to this problem yet.. dmeyer
Hey all, nLite noob here, and I'm getting the same error. Using nLite 1.3 RC2, and Windows XP Tablet Edition 2005 source (from HP Tablet PC OS Recovery DVD).Also using RyanVM update pack 2.1.6, addons WMP 10_3.1.7 & WGA 1.5.723.1After setup loads the drivers, etc, it also says that since this is an upgrade to insert an old OS disc (Win98, 2000, etc). I just ignore it and hit enter, and it lets me proceed to create the partitions and stuff. But after I try to format using NTFS or NTFS (Quick), i get the error:Setup cannot format the partition.Your computer may not have enough memory to perform this operation, or your windows XP CD-ROM may contain some corrupted files. Setup cannot continue. To quit setup press F3.I'm guessing it's not a memory problem since I have 1 GB of RAM...Any suggestions??? Mandarin
There is an option in nLite right at the very last step before the final processing where you can enable an option to deal with exactly this problem. Sorry it escapes me now the exact name but it is in the same list where you can pick "OEM Branding" as an option which should guide you to where you need to look.Edit - just had a look and the option is called "Minimum Memory Requirement".
