Half-Life unattended on CD-2

Recommended Posts

I am currently having problems with this sucker. The updates install silent and perfect, but when it comes to the big daddy, it's crazy.

The original Half-Life install is Installshield, which it allowed me to create an iss for it. I tried it out, but the start /wait did not help the matter. When the install shield runs, it splits up into 3 different processes, instead of just setup.exe. With this in mind, it tells the batch file to continue, and while the original installs, the patches go right ahead, which is not good at all. Any advice?

Also, using one CD-ROM drive, I switch to the second cd, but then I get this Windows Protection Error telling me to reinsert the XP CD. I tried to compress Half-Life, but it came out to about 408mb out of the uncompressed 401. :)

If you know anyway of compressing with high compression, and then extract during batch process, please post that here as well.
