Kidd0 is in hollywood florida.. which cops you call?and the cops are not very net savy, or would know what to do even if they understood what you where telling them.And because of the way a DDOS works.. its hard to prove who the attacker is.. because the attack is not coming from his machine.. but hundereds or thousands of other peoples computers. however kiddo has done this before, we know he owns a botnet. and he admitted it was him, and even threatened to do it.... then it happens right after he said he would do it. cops will want more proof than that, and short of going to his house and taking his machine away they aint going to get that proof. so theres not just the crime of taking a site and server down (which will host other sites too) but the thousands of people infected with a litmus trojan on their computers.. allowing kidd0 to connect them to an IRC channel and tell them to ping an IP address of his choice.think of it this way too.. the owners of the servers are running abusiness. if their servers cant be up they arent getting business. he is also taking the "air time" away from <<spam>> who have paid real money for it. the servers he is DDOS'ing could be on a connection same as say.. your local bank. whos ATM machine might not be working right now because they are bogged down. (actually the ATM system works on its own lines AFAIK) it could be on the same lines as a hospital or something.... other traffic will be affected by this crap.we are talking in the region of 60 TB a minute here!
