Hi,

here is something that automates what I do after every install.

It's still in the beginnings but here is the list so far:

  1. WMP Shell Extension
  2. WMP Portable Devices services
  3. Help
  4. DLL Cache
  5. Reinstall Backups
  6. Doctor Watson
  7. nVidia 3D Settings Server
  8. WMP Network Sharing Service
  9. nVidia Tray Icon
  10. Recycle Bin
  11. System Information
  12. Temporary files
  13. nVidia Control Panel shortcut
  14. PNF Files
  15. Office Source Engine service
  16. .NET Runtime Optimization Service

Tested only on 32bit, needs .Net 2.0 or nLite Alternative Runtimes 2.0 and disabled SFC is recommended.

No icon yet.

I'll be slowly adding what annoys me with installed software on my own rig.

And I won't put components from nlite in it, it's just for cleaning the garbage which post-installation causes.

Changelog:

#v0.2

- Temporary files

- nVidia Control Panel shortcut

- PNF files

- Office Source Engine

- .NET Runtime Optimization Service

#v0.1

- nVtray detection fix

- Command line support

- MB saved report

Guide on command line

Make a shortcut to TTS and go to properties of that shortcut.

Change it to something like this:

"...TTS.exe" /c:1 /autoend

(... means your full path to exe)

This would automatically remove component number 1 (WMP Shell Extension) and close the program.

You can add more components like

"...TTS.exe" /c:1,3,5 /autoend

And you can change autoend delay like this:

"...TTS.exe" /c:1,3,5 /autoend:5000

Where 5000 means 5 seconds, default is 2.

To easily remove all supported components you can use this:

"...TTS.exe" /c:all /autoend

This could be helpful at the end of automated unattended installation.

To skip reboot:

"...TTS.exe" /reboot:no

Download removed until there is a better version

Thanks for this new tool. :thumbup

edit : files are put in dllcache after fast any soft install. Has anyone tried to change the NTFS rights for this folder and to deny write to SYSTEM ?

(I can't remember if I have already tried or not. If I tried, I had no problem)

Nuhi, did you go after the registry entries for the Office Source Engine Service? I'm using a 3rd party program called serviwin.exe and it still shows the Office service. Whenever I use the attached program to remove Services, it gets all the reg keys. Cheers.

Camarade_Tux, that could create some problems if they don't have routines what if it doesn't want to copy...I just rerun tts every day, one click and puf.

Jeremy, I tried it and it's not there for me probably because I manually deleted some protected reg entry, going to automate that in the next one.

I'm using it every day and I realized that it's not yet ready so when it's better I'll uplod the update. Don't expect it, who knows when.

Yeah that for nero would be fine.

I made myself nero lite, couldn't stand all those services which full version installs.

Is yours better than hp38guser's? Heh, I don't even know why I ask because I use 6.6.0.14 and never have any problems burning a DVD.

It seems to be working though. I'll use a VM, do that, install .Net framework, some MS updates and VMWare tools for drivers.

I'll see if it bugs. :P:ph34r:
