amdphr3@kXP Posted August 8, 2003 Share Posted August 8, 2003 It is possible to use ICS/crossover instead of a router, this is a cheaper way to go than the router, however ur pc will need to be on all the time for the other pc to be able to access the internet. I agree with tha_filer, I would go with the linksys router if you dont want to turn on ur pc every time you need internet access on the other pc... amdphr3@kXP Posted August 8, 2003 Share Posted August 8, 2003 In that case, get a firewall and block any incoming netbios sessions from the ip address that u assign from her pc. As long as you allow outgoing netbios sessions on ur firewall, you should be able to see files on her pc, but she won't b able to access urs.
