BruceLee
Hi Everybody,Hope someone can help me out. I have 14 servers rolled out by ris with a riprep-image.Everything worked fine. after the rollout i have updated the system through windows update function.now the strange thing. I can't shutdown the servers. If i do so, the server shuts down normally but then boots up again.the system is a poweredge 2850 with latest frimware versions.does anybody have a clue what i can do to get rid of this error?thanksBruceLee

BruceLee
no errors. i start thinking it might be a combination of windows server 2003 and firmware/bios from dell.any suggestions are welcomethanksbrucelee

BruceLee
I've got it. just to let you know. i don't think that this error will happen anyone else, because this hardware combination won't be used very often.the bug is caused by a hardware device. a pci-card from gerdes. it's a primary multiplex card called primux-4S2M.talked to the vendor and it will be fixed in the next driver release.thanks to allBruceLee
