12. Very often we see meaningless subjects in topic title. They give no clue of what the posts are all about. For example:

- Oh no!

- Help

- I'm mad

- Please help

- Question

- I need your help

- Hmmmm ....

This should be avoided. Users should enter something more specific in topic title so that it is easier for others to help.

A few good examples:

- Strange problem with DirectX9b redist

- RunOnceEx install problem (double installation)

- Change Internet Explorer's Icon back to default

use the original cd / setup package to uninstall. just run setup and if you are not presented with the options to modify / repair / uninstall the program, just reinstall on top and then try to uninstall from add / remove programs. good luck!

or that... lol

I've tried with the Removal tool but I couldn't remove it. Instead now whenever I turn on the com it appears on the screen a message saying it's impossible to run a program for it's missing a file: S32STAT.DLL

How can I stop displaying that message now?

I don't have anymore the original CD to reinstall it.

That's GREAT!

But, for those who aren't that lucky.....

Symantec did indeed write a program, SymNRT.exe

that will remove all program files and folders for the Norton products.

However that's only half the job.

There are still those 1981 entries in the Registry that could be left

untouched.

I had one heck of a time finding that second file and getting it together with the

.exe file in one easy to download package.

I labeled it the Norton Killer and put it on a site where I rent space just for

the purpose of having a place to put helpfull programs and Utilities.

I repeat.....I didn't write the dang'd thing, I just zipped the two files together in an easy to download form and put it where everyone who needs it can easily download it.

Go Here and download Norton Killer.exe.

Unzip it and run both files....the .exe file and the .reg file.

That should remove all traces of Norton programs from your PC.

I hope this information will help someone else that's having trouble removing Norton from their computer.

Blessings,
