VCore Setting

Board : Epox EP-9NPA3 Ultra

Processor : AMD Athlon 64 3500+

when i tried using sisoftware sandra to benchmark my pc, it says that my vcore is set below the minimum requirements. but when i check the BIOS it is set to the default value in which the manual recommended.

it is set to auto (default), and my board supports AMD 64 series processor.

what could be the probelm?

Sisift often complains about thigns like volatge, use another program to comfirm this issue, try cpu-z and take the vore volatge it reads , google it to kae sure it matches your cpu :)

edit:

using cpu-z:

the result i get is 0.960V for AMD Ahtlon 64 3500+ (Venice)

the specs in AMD.com says Voltage is around 1.35V/1.40V

- it can't auto detect it properly?... is it because of the cool n quiet feaure?

- is my board broken?

Or it may just be that Epox motherboards always report the wrong Vcore setting. I'm not sure though, but it would explain a lot of things, like my Opteron 165 sucking up 2.65V and still staying below 40C :).

Im pretty sure CnQ is the culprit. If you have a BIOS option to disable/enable CnQ, try disabling it and see what sandra says then.

Im pretty sure CnQ is the culprit. If you have a BIOS option to disable/enable CnQ, try disabling it and see what sandra says then.

that definetly sounds like the problem
