Wesmosis Posted June 12, 2006 Posted June 12, 2006 Man, can't you just attach the file to keep this thread readable...Please edit your post. Most of your probs, if not all, have been solved in 5.0 final. Check it out and report any remaining flaw.
deadbug Posted June 12, 2006 Posted June 12, 2006 Man, can't you just attach the file to keep this thread readable...Please edit your post. Most of your probs, if not all, have been solved in 5.0 final. Check it out and report any remaining flaw.I've no idea whether people prefer attachments or in-line text - I guess you fall into the former camp :-)5.0 final seems to have cured the three problems (everything worked in the near-full attempt I kicked off a while ago), so I've removed the log as superfluous. Now I just need to pick a theme and I'm done!
azaze1 Posted June 15, 2006 Posted June 15, 2006 I get an error each time at the end of the install during the "Execute After" task.JavaScript Error ReportMessage: 'undefined' is null or not an objectUrl: file://C:\INSTEMP\WPI\WPI.htaFile: generate.jsFunction: FindCDRom()Line: 140
Gawoozle Posted June 16, 2006 Posted June 16, 2006 I'm having the same sort of problem with 'execute after'. Djé Posted June 16, 2006 Posted June 16, 2006 (edited) I get an error each time at the end of the install during the "Execute After" task.@Gawoozle &azaze1this bug should be solved in 5.1. Try this latest version of the installer. Edited June 16, 2006 by Djé
azaze1 Posted June 16, 2006 Posted June 16, 2006 mritter,I tried two different expressions for the command:%SYSTEMDRIVE%\instemp\script.cmdgave me the error, as didC:\instemp\script.cmdDje, I'll give that new installer a try, thanks.
azaze1 Posted June 16, 2006 Posted June 16, 2006 The new installer.js didn't work.JavaScript Error ReportMessage: 'programs' is undefinedUrl: file://C:\INSTEMP\WPI\WPI.htaFile: optionswizard.jsFunction: StopAudio()Line: 85This occurs the instant you begin the installation.
Gawoozle Posted June 19, 2006 Posted June 19, 2006 Same thing happened with me:Message: 'programs' is undefinedUrl: file://C:\INSTEMP\WPI\WPI.htaFile: optionswizard.jsFunction: StopAudio()Line: 85I don't use the audioplayer by the way.Hope this helps
mritter Posted June 19, 2006 Posted June 19, 2006 Hmmmm.......I don't really know what happened with Execute Before/After. It works fine for me and other I have talked to. Try using these updated files to see if it fixes the problems.
almulder Posted June 19, 2006 Posted June 19, 2006 That fixed it for me. But I still notice 1 thing.Downloaded a fresh v5.0 added a new program to the config (Which would be the first one added), set the group to Applications and it would not display. Chnage the group to anthing else and it worked. Added more programs setting them to Applications and still would not display, but if I set the Cat. group sort order to show applications then they display.I think there might be a typeo some where in the code when referanceing the var for Applications mayve there is only on "p" when there should be two. Don't have time today to check, Sorry- Albert
azaze1 Posted June 20, 2006 Posted June 20, 2006 mritter, that executebeforeafter.rar package fixed my problems as well.Bravo, I think I may update the WPI in all of my distributions now =D
