Fredledingue
Thanks MDGx,At least i see that one person has been testing it. I'm working actively on the system restore project and a more graphiocal (hta) interface (maybe a progress bar too).It looks very promising. I'm very exited about that now. I hope to release a pre-beta version in two or three weeks.
Fredledingue
Great release this time: 4.0-Added: HTA graphic interface to display results and a progressbar-Added: Summary display (also works without the HTA interface)-Completely new comparison engine (more use of the memory), which means: * Much faster for large numbers of file change. * Speed is more consistant, more predictable. * Smaller and simplier code (the last one became a monster after all the fixes) * More reliable-Fixed: Won't restart the batch file anymore (if that ever happened to you)

Fredledingue
Many improvements:4.1-Added: HTA interface for the configuration settings-Fixed: New bug from version 4.0 : New folder content not listed and not compared-Fixed: Other potential albeit not experienced errors.-Fixed: Cell on the top of the 1st table empty and not framed.-Fixed (posssibly fixed in v4.0 already): Some folders are listed twice, in two separate tables, with different results. -Fixed (posssibly fixed in v4.0 already): Sometimes the directory where the script is installed is mentioned.-Improved: Dos prompt not apearing anymore. Instead, a progressbar is shown.-Improved: Better Scan list and Exclude list handling by the program as well as by the user-Improved: Minor details in the checksystem41 HTA interface-Removed temporarily: Support for text output*********IMPORTANT UPDATE NOTE***********After updating from 4.0 to 4.1, the first scan after the update may contain a lot of false results. So I recommand running a check with the old version right before updating and start anew with a fesh install.click here

MDGx
I got this error message when I executed checksystem41.hta for the second time [first time worked ok]:and the script did not continue.ProgressBar.log contents:y = 14505HTH
Fredledingue
Ironicaly you got this error because there was no error with your file paths!(The error came because InvalidPathsIndex.txt is empty and it must contain at least one line feed.)I made a silent update on my site. Please download it again.
Fredledingue
New "fix" release.(of course not extensively tested in such a short term)4.2-Fixed: Subfolders of excluded folders still scanned-Fixed: Error "input past end of file" when InvalidPathsIndex.txt is empty-Fixed: Other possible errors with ifc_config and checksystem*.vbs

Fredledingue
Two great stuffs in this release: 1/ Now you can add a comment (for example "After installation of uSP3-beta") and see a list of the reports in Reports_Comment_Index.htm.This is extremely useful!2/ IFC works on non-updated W98, at least if it includes WSH 5.1. Only the installation verificator upon the "About" button doesn't work but that's not important. However it's much faster with WSH 5.6 installed.Yet, that's great news because you can track your system changes practicaly since day-one of installation, before all the packs and unofficial updaters.... and a new webpage! (download here) B) 4.3-Optimized: For Windows Script Host 5.1 and possibly below for work on non-updated w98.ATTENTION: WSH 5.6 still strongly recommanded (faster).-Added: Personal comment on the reportss-Added: Indexing in a Html page the repport file names and the comments for easier re-viewing-Fixed: Configuration interface not lauunching the application-Improved: Other minor details Edited October 12, 2007 by Fredledingue
Fredledingue
Small improvements:4.4-Improved: Use of registry for communication among separate scripts (should avoid "file already exists" errors)-Added: WSH version detection (click "About")-Fixed: Comment field disapearing after "Closing Help"Click hereEnjoy! Fredledingue
update:Direct download4.5-Improved: Configuration panel now reads old settings if any.-Improved: Use of registry (finished) and other minor things in the code.-Fixed: Configuration panel showing an "Ok" dialog box instead of "Yes No".-Fixed: Configuration panel not showing the Program Files folder
