Well I spent most of a day working on my cd, now its not entirely unattended I prefer to call mine, the lazy persons winxp install, it does most of the work for you:

installs winxp totaly unattended excpet to ask which partion to install winxp onto.

installs first lot of programs unattended

installs second lot of programs with minimal promting (winamp, ad-aware pro etc...)

enters most programs preferances into registry

tweaks registy

removes unwanted desktop icons

removes unwanted startup programs (DAP and MSN6)

removes some unwanted files

configs some of explorers settings (will work on the rest later)

As I spent so much time locating registry entries and so on I thought I will share them to maybe save someone else alot of time.

I will skip the drivers part of my disk as thats very well exlained in the site and only takes 5mins to do.

I use * to hide any of my person info and program keys

Each program is in its own folder with any registry file to go with it

batch.cmd and tweaks.reg are in the install folder

arent you forgetting ".exe" behind the files ?

no, not really, the install worked fine without them at all. at least i didn't have any problems with it. i renamed the files to make the names shorter. but i didn't alter it from being a .exe application. the only time it should be a problem is if you would have more than one item with the same name in that file. which i didn't at all, so it works without the .exe extenstion on it.

will prevent LIVE UPDATE (From Symantec Norton Antivirus, Firewall, System Works, Utilities, etc.. ) to apply some updates..

the trial key gets back in place each time, so is there a way to delete the trial reg and replace it with my reg?

ok i found a tool to del reg entries.

batchfile looks like this :

start /w regdelw "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Zone Labs" /Q /N

exit

this deletes that key

so i install zonealarm........, delete the key and put in new key

CLS

@echo off

ECHO place new zonealarm reg key..

EChO.

REGEDIT /S %systemdrive%\install\zonealarm.reg

ECHO.

exit

but it still puts back trial key

any ideas??????
