Nasty
The SNMP service fails to start, and it looks like that's because something is already using port 161 (can see port 161 open in Netstat). Does anyone know of a util that can tell me what app is opening or using port 161?

Nasty
Thanks for the reply Porn.I tried it, and it seems to be primarily a packet capture/analysis tool. I'm more interested in a tool that'll tell me what application on the machine is holding open port 1601.

Porn Loader
anything in the event logs pertaining to the failed snmp? if so you can try eventid, usually there are multiple reasons on the event id, but it could help you narrow it down.as for ethereal, there was no traffic to port 161?
