OEMINFO.INI editor

Recommended Posts

Hey everybody,

I was making a unattended cd today for a girl, then I wanted to add some oeminformation but it was a pain to write linexx="yadda yadda" every single line, so I made an application that does it for me.

Download here

Screenshot is attached..

Enjoy :)

Cute little program, but there's a few small issues:

-You should make it have a default save name of OEMINFO.INI, since it probably wouldn't be very useful if named something else

-About has "OEMInfo reader" when it's really a writer

-Could use some instructions in a help section of how to properly integrate OEMINFO.INI into an unattended installation

-Add a blank line between the last line in the general section and [support Information] for readability with another text editor

Again, it's a fine program and it does exactly what you said it does. I just thought I'd put my two cents on how I thought it would be a great OEMINFO editor.

Keep up the good work.

I find it rather bad for one reason: The string length is limited.

I don't want to compete with anybody's apps, I made this for the unattended windows makers toolbox. In OEM Logo Stamper you cannot save the inifile to other directories than you system32 folder.

I have added logo support and I have begun implementing a resize function.

I prefer your application than the 'Logo Stamper' cause yours it's simpler, UI cleaner...and so on!

Let us know when you have news about updates!! AND THANKS AGAIN! :thumbup

Nice what would be the best ever would be wmi requests.

Now that would be great I have a vbscript that reads the following....

serial number

smbios

asset tag

mac nic address

site name location

name

video card

software version

date windows was installed

bios version

now adding these to your program would be great! stuff the oem.logo!

Adding this is great for my support team and I am not restricted to one oeminfo.ini file for my fleet
