bledd Posted April 22, 2006 Author Posted April 22, 2006 cheers i might make a 7zip cab creator in the week, so it installs 7zip silently then patches it straight after..
-I- Posted April 22, 2006 Posted April 22, 2006 in that case why not create an entire new installer... i dont think there is a lot to it... but my proposal is lest also look at the Gui (cauze that to look a bit sh*tty).
bledd Posted April 23, 2006 Author Posted April 23, 2006 they're released so often tho (betas) i've just turned it into an exe file and its 498kb works perfect in my OEM folders

bledd Posted April 23, 2006 Author Posted April 23, 2006 oh right i never use the file manager side of it
bledd Posted April 26, 2006 Author Posted April 26, 2006 i'll add bzip2, gzip and tar.gz on the weekendi've made my switchless 7zip + icon pack creator now too
Camarade_Tux Posted April 26, 2006 Posted April 26, 2006 (edited) Thanks a lot. These icons were getting me nervous.I've edited my 7zip AHK installation script to automatically change the icons and I've noticed something : icons won't get updated immediately beacause of IconCache.db.I had to delete IconCache.db (in Application Data), logoff and log on again.edit: the letters on the icons are blurry. Could you sharpen them ? Edited April 26, 2006 by Camarade_Tux
EchoNoise Posted June 13, 2006 Posted June 13, 2006 Great first post there What bledd means is that he has created replacement icons for the ones 7-zip default uses. But he will be adding more on the weekend...And he has also created a switchless installer.
bledd Posted June 15, 2006 Author Posted June 15, 2006 i've updated some parts of it, now i've got a switchless installer creatorwhich patches the files after installing, and registers the filetypes as defaulti've made an S icon for split archives and will make a g one when my girlfriend goes home (up for the week) and will upload it to my webspace againthe full size of the switchless installer that it creates is 1.27mb so still small enough to fit on a floppy
