formatr xp hard drive

Download BartPE and burn it to a disk (Google it; very easy software to make the disk). Boot off that disk. Load up the command prompt on it and type:

format X: /fs:NTFS

First things first!

What hard drive, what computer, what OS are you going to load and WHY?

So, you have NO floppy drive,,,,just a CD drive,,,,right?

We really need more info here if we're going to be of much help to you.

Oh, and do you want an NTFS format or a FAT-32 format?

Fill in the blanks.....OK?

Gateway p4 win xp

90 gb hard drive

512 mb

want 2 install my win98se= fat32

I have xp on desktop that i'm using now, don't need it on laptop
