Bretenn Posted July 1, 2003 Share Posted July 1, 2003 i'm thinking of building a website which if possible look like this forum but i'm a newbie...i have a pc that i will set it as my server...so what is the first step i have to do?? i'm using xp...install iis?if possible i hope u guys can list a step by step (more details) to help me.... Tinker Posted July 1, 2003 Share Posted July 1, 2003 You will also need to check with you ISP. Mine is Comcast and they will not allow servers on there connections at all for any reason. Even thought they offer a business connection of up to 3.5 Mb for 100 USD a month you still can not have a server that will access the Internet.You could loose your ISP..........
