coldoven
Hey_It's high-time that I changed my preset key on my wireless router. It's done easily enough. However, as far as my PC's wireless card goes, it is set up automatically to plug in the right PSK. How do I update the network connection with the new PSK? I dont want to have to set up a completely new Network Connection. I poked around on XP, but couldn't find anything.Oh, I'm running XP SP2... updated and all that. Gouki
I dont use Encryption on my WLAN (WEP or WPA), but, you can try by going to the View Available Wireless Networks screen and selecting Change the Order of Preferred Networks, choosing your Network and clicking on Properties. coldoven
Cool, I'll try that.I'm curious though. Why don't you bother with encryption? Do you think it's useless? I sometimes wonder why I bother myself.
Gouki
I have other ways of protecting my WLAN. I stoped using encryption because of all the devices I used on Wireless mode (PS2, PSP, 360, Xbox, etc).I'm pretty sure the LAN is pretty secure (not bulletproff) and for the regular script kiddie, its much more than they can handle.I wrote a white paper about WLAN security for home use, but it's not in English, so I wont even bother giving you the link.
