GDI+

Recommended Posts

Macromedia Flash MX 2004

Macromedia Fireworks MX 2004

The only two that use it on my system. (Probably the other Macromedia products too... I have them but I don't need them so I didn't install them.)

Does anyone know of other programs that use it?

PCMark2002 can use it if you copy it to its folder.. But after few tests it ends with no free resources available and (almost) frozen system.

Visual Foxpro 8 and 9 use it.

BTW, GDI+ can be downloaded here:

Supported Operating Systems: Windows 2000; Windows 98; Windows ME; Windows NT; Windows XP

Looks like Nero Toolkit has it also on my system.

More accurately, Nero CD-DVD Speed versions 4.x (like the CD-DVD Speed app [Cdspeed.exe] I mentioned in another post uses Gdiplus.dll file). Please use version 5.10.3102.1360 or later of the GDI+ file as this version and higher ones fix crucial security problems found in older versions.

btw - I have Cdspeed.exe version 4.11 found in the Nero 6.6.1.4 update package.

here's the direct download link to the GDI+ addon [for those who don't want to "validate" their version of Windows at the Microsoft site Petr mentioned]:

http://download.microsoft.com/download/a/b...diplus_dnld.exe

MS security bulletin MS04-028 mentions the security fixed Gdiplus.dll file:

oh grow up, randiroo76073!

The Microsoft .NET Framework also includes GDI+ DLL file. Latest .NET Framework download is version 2.0. All versions of .NET Framework have the GDI+ file.

You got a hairball stuck in your throat or something??? Or just a basic misunderstanding of humor.

The latest version of GDI+ files are included in WinXP SP2 and Win2003 SP1 and also included in .NET Framework 2.0. NFR 2.0 with updated GDIPLUS.DLL file (and the GDI+ files from XP SP2 & W2K3 SP1) are not vulnerable to the security problems noted in Microsoft security bulletin MS04-028.

Those using older versions of .NET Framework which have older GDIPLUS.DLL file can check out these topics-

more like a misunderstanding but don't do this kind of "humor" again, randiroo76073. you don't want to get on my bad side. Your joke was NOT funny at all!

believe it or not, the GDI+ DLL file does work under Win95. some users claim it works under Win95; see here.
