slimzky Posted December 30, 2006 Author Posted December 30, 2006 /s /V"/passive CREATE_DESKTOP_ICON=0 CREATE_QUICKLAUNCH_ICON=1 CREATE_STARTMENU_ICONS=1 MULTI_USER_SETTING=0 INSTALLER_LANGUAGE=en"using this switch, the installer runs silent but still creates a profile folder in Docs and Settings
prathapml Posted December 31, 2006 Posted December 31, 2006 Use the classic installer. That one doesnt create a profile folder until you open the browser for the first time.

prathapml Posted December 31, 2006 Posted December 31, 2006 Classic = the old, usual installer method that was used. The current default installers are based on MSI.But you have a choice of versions, when you go to - http://www.opera.com/download/
slimzky Posted January 1, 2007 Author Posted January 1, 2007 Use the classic installer. That one doesnt create a profile folder until you open the browser for the first time.i used the classic installer

prathapml Posted January 1, 2007 Posted January 1, 2007 If all you want to do is eliminate the profile folder, add a command to your setup scripts immediately after opera setup, to delete the folder "%appdata%\Opera"
