prathapml
OMG, wow!I wanted something like this since a long time! With thanks to DL, for informing me about it http://www.beeblebrox.org/hashtab/index.phpHashTab v1.9HashTab is a Windows shell extension which adds a tab called "File Hashes" to the Windows Explorer file properties. The tab contains the MD5, SHA1 and CRC-32 file hashes. These are common hashes that are used to verify the integrity and authenticity of files. Many download sites list the MD5 hash along with the download link. The HashTab makes it very simple for Windows users to check these hashes on any file on the system without using external tools

Axed
I also love this program! My biggest problem with it tho is that you cant save hashes easily, or i just havent worked out how to do it yet.

eidenk
This HashTab does not seem to install properly on 98/ME. The file gets written to my disk but it seems nothing gets written to the registry.I have tried to use regsvr32 to register the dll as you can usually do but it won't work. Can someone be kind enough to post the registry entries Hashtab writes in your system ? DigeratiPrime
usually when i calculate an md5 sum for a file it takes a while, how does this program compare?when i view file properties will it 'pause' to get the md5?
prathapml
It does not "pause" straightaway, it calculates the MD5/CRC only when you select the tab (general/summary/Hash).And yes, on really large files, it does take a while.
