bigguy
I'm stuck on "disabling shutdown tracker" in your article on page 6.I do not have a "systems folder" under Computer configuration >Administrative Templates. I'm running a Intel 2.53Mhz P4 with 1024M RAM, and 80G Hard drive. Tried two different versions of Enterprise and cannot disable the shutdown tracker. Any suggestions? SunnyB
Do this through the Group Policy Editor.Start / Run / "gpedit.msc" / Enter.Computer Administration / Administrative Templates / System.Find "Activate Shutdown Event Tracker System State Data feature"Right click / select properties / select disable. SunnyB
OOPS. Actually it's the entry just above the"Activate Shutdown Event Tracker System State Data feature"It is "Display Shutdown event tracker". Disable that one.Enable the "Activate Shutdown Event Tracker System State Data feature".Hope this didn't mess you up.
bigguy
Appreciate the quick reply Sunny. The whole problem is that the "systems"folder does not exist.

SunnyB
First, expand the Computer Configuration / Administrative Templates and verify that the System tab is not there. If it isn't, highlight the Administrative Templates tab the from the menu, click on Edit then "Add / Remove Templates. From the list of snap-ins choose System then OK. Verify that the System tab is now visible under Admin Templates. That should do it.
