[Question] - prevent password caching in windows wlan client

a friend asked me how to prevent password caching in the windows wlan client

hi don't know, just googled a bit and found these 2 possibilities:

version 1:

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Internet Settings

DisablePasswordCaching (DWORD)

value: 1

version 2:

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\

Network]

DisablePwdCaching (DWORD)

value: 1

someone knows which one is the correct one? I guess the first is just for IE ...

The first key would be caching of passwords via the internet. You can change this in IE or whatever browser you are using. The second one is more for internetwork password caching. If you want to prevent caching of passwords over your network, change the second key.
